Ashley Curtis on Clair Senses, Self-Trust, and Reclaiming Spiritual Identity

Ashley Curtis is a spiritual practitioner, mother, healer, and woman of deep conviction. She joined us on Women of TmrO to share how she’s evolved—from Christian-based content creator to a woman reclaiming ancestral wisdom, intuitive intelligence, and self-trust.

In a powerful, expansive conversation, Ashley peeled back the layers of her personal healing journey and reminded us of the importance of spiritual sovereignty — not just following what we’re taught, but remembering what we know.

Relearning the Language of Intuition

One of the most compelling parts of our conversation was Ashley’s breakdown of what she calls the “claires” — the clair senses, or intuitive abilities that go beyond what we can explain logically.

She explained clairvoyance (clear seeing), clairaudience (clear hearing), clairsentience (clear feeling), and more — and described how many of us are walking around with these sensitivities but haven’t been given the language or validation to understand them.

Ashley shared that she experiences clairaudience most clearly — often receiving downloads, messages, and guidance from spirit in ways that are deeply personal and non-performative. She doesn’t frame it as a rare gift but instead encourages others to tune into their own intuitive senses, recognizing that these abilities are ancient and natural.

“We’ve been trained out of our innate knowing,” she told us. “It’s not that we don’t have it — it’s that we haven’t been taught to trust it.”

Letting Go of Dogma, Reclaiming Ancestry

Ashley was once known for Christian-centered relationship advice and personal development teachings — but after going through intense periods of grief, depression, and identity loss, she began to deconstruct what she had been taught spiritually.

Her pivot wasn’t about abandoning faith — it was about expanding it.

“I still believe in God,” she said. “But now I believe in a God that’s not confined to shame or punishment or fear. I believe in a God that wants us to be free.”

She describes her current practice as a blend of ancestral reverence, energy work, astrology, and her own intuitive downloads. And for those who feel called to walk a similar path, she offers permission to explore without guilt. “You are not crazy. You are not ‘doing too much.’ You’re remembering.”

Human Design, Motherhood, and Healing the Family Line

Motherhood has been a major catalyst for Ashley’s transformation. She opened up about experiencing postpartum depression after the birth of her son, and how it prompted a full breakdown — followed by a breakthrough.

When her son was later diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum, Ashley dove into Human Design and other energetic tools to better understand his soul, rather than trying to fix him. “He is gifted,” she said, with tears in her voice. “I’m here to support his mission on Earth — not to change him.”

This mindset shift led her to confront generational trauma, her own conditioning around perfectionism and control, and the limits of Western medicine and parenting standards. Her message is clear: healing the family line begins with one brave person deciding to see differently.

Why She Left LA — and Chose Atlanta

Ashley also shared why she left Los Angeles and chose to plant roots in Atlanta. After years of living in LA’s hyper-individualistic, fast-paced environment, she felt called toward a place that honored culture, creativity, and spirit. “Atlanta just felt like soul food,” she said.

And while she once built her identity around being the polished, successful, perfect “Christian influencer,” today she embraces softness, mystery, and stillness. “I’m no longer living for validation,” she says. “I’m living for alignment.”

A Conversation That Holds Space for All of You

This episode is a mirror for anyone who’s ever felt too spiritual for religion, too sensitive for the world, or too deep for small talk. It’s for the women who are healing — loudly or quietly — and choosing to trust themselves, even when the world doesn’t understand.

Ashley Curtis reminds us that healing doesn’t always look like yoga or crystals or perfect routines. Sometimes it looks like crying in the car, walking away from everything you knew, or hearing your ancestors whisper when no one else believes you.

This conversation is soft, sharp, and sacred.
